Fresh Nettle – 1/4 lb
A true powerhouse of nutrition, nettle is another early spring plant rich in vitamins and minerals – a true spring tonic. Leaves and stems are delicious wilted with olive oil and sprinkle of salt – similar to spinach, chard and even a hint of asparagus. Or, steep leaves to make nettle tea.
DO NOT TOUCH with your bare hands. Leaves can cause a rash, itching and irritation. Always use gloves! Cooking renders the leaves absolutely safe to handle and eat.
